Lost my Admin, it changed to Standard

I changed the password on my 2017 imac (High Sierra). It removed my Admin account and made it Standard. I have tried to rest it in single user mode to no avail. When I go to single user mode, the first line I see above the cursor is:

pci pause: SDXC

What do I need to do to reset and recover my Admin account?

That's normal. Just hit the Return key until you get the localhost:/ root# prompt. When it appears type the following, exactly as written.

mount -uw /

rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

exit
