How do I get messages on my iphone 'messages' app to show up on my iPad 'messages' app at the same time?

The Text Message Forwarding setting is only only your iPhone.


I am course making the assumption that you are using recent versions of iOS/iPadOS. Perhaps you providing detail of your iPhone and iPad - and installed versions of iOS/iPadOS will be helpful.

Mmmm... the apple page link clearly shows text message forwarding as an option, but my iphone X does not have this setting!


My Apple ID and trusted phone number is the same on both my iPad and iPhone. Software on both devices are up-to-date.


Unless something obvious comes to mind, I will pursue via the link you supplied. Thank you very much for your help so far
