Is the Mail Drop function still available in MacOS Catalina? I cannot find the option to utilize it in the preferences section of Mail. If not, what are the size limits on e-mail attachments? I am trying to send several large .JPG files.

How can I prevent the Mac OS 'Mail' app from reducing the file size of image attachments? If I am entering a photo in a competition, I want to send it with the highest file size allowable. Many competitions require entries be jpg files, less than some specific file size. For example, say that limit is 10 MB. If I convert a 455 MB image to jpg, a quality setting of 11 will give me a file size of 8.4 MB. If I send that 8.4 MB image using the Mac OS 'Mail' app, the image is further compressed to 542 KB. If I send it by Gmail, using a browser like Safari, it is sent as is, arriving with a file size of 8.4 MB. The difference in image quality is dramatic. Is there any way to force Mail to send the file without additional compression?

since updating to Catalina , I cannot upload any kind of attachments in Mail How can you upload documents of any kind as attachments in a Mail message? Since Catalina all the attachments that I try to send are not being uploaded. I cannot send any message with an attachment. When trying this window content pops-up This message contains attachments that are still being loaded. Even if I wait for a long time no message can be sent. This is valid for small attachments of few kb or bigger ones.

Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. I wasn't thinking about it from an On/Off perspective.

I was thinking of a setting in the message composing window. There isn't anything there to say, "send with Mail Drop."
