I did all this, but when I connect to iTunes the device still doesn't appear to show up. Am I not looking in the correct spot?
Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. Force your iPod to restart, by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and the Home button. Keep doing this for at least 10 seconds, and don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep pressing and holding until you see the recovery mode screen.
If still it doesn't work go to Apple Store.
Thanks!
But when I do this, it doesn't connect to Music (this new iTunes?), it simply shows up in my finder. Okay. Then it asks if I want to Update/Restore. Regardless of which I choose (I've tried both), the software (iOS 12.4.6) won't download. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
My son's Ipod touch (very old...IOS6) is disabled. I have pressed the start and home button and connected it to my PC, but nothing else seems to happen or show up. What do I need to do? I have an Apple ID
After shutting down your iPod press lock button and home button at same time you will get icon of iTunes and after that connect to your laptop and restor your iPod.
