My settings on my iPhone 8 has a notification to Update my Apple ID Settings. Every time I enter my password it freezes. I haven't been able to get it to work on or off wifi, and Ive even tried updating my password. I just want the notification to go away.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
If necessary
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
Another possibility.
