cannot update logic pro x 10.4.8 to 10.5

Hi everyone,

i have an issue to update Logic Pro X v.10.4.8 to the new one 10.5.

On the App Store there is stated "update not compatible".

What does it mean? I have regularly purchased Logic and I know for sure that this update is free for the customer of Logic Pro X v.10 and above.

can someone help me?

thank you!

It requires 10.14.6 or newer. If your Mac's a 2012 or newer model, download Mojave or Catalina.

I am running Mojave (10.14.6), but don't see anyway to get this. Is it just taking time to roll out?

I have gone to the App Store app and looked at "Updates" but it doesn't appear.

My "System Preferences" setting for Software Updates allows automate app updates.

Currently I am running 10.4.8 Logic Pro X.

Suggestions?

Don't want to yet because of the 3rd party limits to 64 bit OS issues reported elsewhere. However, I have been told (finally) by Apple Support that if I just delete the app from the applications folder (move it to the trash, but not delete), and then go to the app store/updates page and download the app, it enables the download of version 10.5. I have confirmed this.

For me, this solves my problem (but believe this to be pretty kludgy BTW).
