Another user has enabled apple notification on CHASE app

Hello new family! I used Android phones for years until i decided to switch to Apple. I got my very first new Iphone 11 Pro last week from a Tmobile location in Brooklyn. I inserted my sim card from my previous Samsung phone and did all the setup up and voila.

Yesterday I wanted to install CHASE app in my new phone so I did so but when I opened my account the phone gave me this warning: "ANOTHER USER HAS ENABLED APPLE NOTIFICATIONS, another Chase user has already enabled notifications for this phone. The Chase Mobile App can support notifications for one user per phone. Do you want to turn on your notifications and override the other user's notifications? I was like WTF, did I pay for an USED phone that they sold me as new????????????????????? Is this possible????

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13

Like I said, this is a standard warning, and when another device (someone) activates something that is different than what it used to be, it sends that warning. Poorly worded as others have said, it just did not know it was you, because it was a different device. It needed to know you first. If you are concerned, you need to contact Chase and ask them. Let them know that you have downloaded the app on a new device and were just signing in. They can explain their features.
