need to add a trusted app to ipad pro 12.9 4th gen

I am a beta tester on an app and I cannot find how to add it to the new iPad Pro 12. 9 4th Generation - the developer told me to add it under general > profile > device management but that doesn’t seem to be an option? Then I found a YouTube video and the guy said to go to beta.apple.com so I did, signed in, but appears it’s for Apple products. So can I add this app and also can I get out of the beta.apple.com thing? The app did not come from the App Store and since I can’t add it as a trusted app cannot view my emails from it as it wont launch.
