Well to me it sounds like GTA V does not support Mac OS.

but in any case for support for this you should contact Epic Games

From what I can tell this is the supported OS for GTA V from the epic launcher:

OS

Windows 10 64 Bit, Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, Windows Vista 64 Bit Service Pack 2* (*NVIDIA video card recommended if running Vista OS)

Good luck!

The Epic Launcher/Store is, essentially, a one-stop shop for all Epic games, on all platforms

Unfortunately, they do a very poor job of identifying/communicating which games actually work on which platforms. I think their rationale is "sure, someone can buy <XYZ game> on their Mac and it will automatically download and run on their PC". Sure. Major use case right there.

At the end of the day, unless you have a Windows system (or a Shadow account), you're not going to get this to run on your system.

Having the same problem with Civ6 even though it's available in the app store

Civ VI is a different beast. In this case Civ VI is written by Firaxis. Epic are merely the publisher (the ones who take the product and bring it to market, advertising, support, etc.).

The Mac OS X version of Civilization is published by Aspyr Media, which is why the Epic store doesn't list the Mac OS X compatible version.
