Emoji/Animoji avatar

My custom avatar is missing? I cleared out all my texts and I’m wondering if this is a coincidence or the reason I no longer have a custom avatar?

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your Memoji.

Depending on how you cleared out your text message storage space, yes, you may have also deleted this. You can recreate your Memoji, as well as edit and manage them using the info in this help article: How to use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

I deleted all of my messages. So you are saying when I do this. I am also deleting my Memoji? Let me see now. Delete old messages and Memoji or keep old messages and Memoji? I think I’m going to give creating my Memoji every time I delete my messages a miss. I would rather not keep old text messages laying around waiting for somebody to hack and harvest them.
