Can't open document.

'user does not have access privileges' But I created document myself. How to open?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.14

It's a Word document. I just closed & reopened Word and now the file opens! Solved, and your 2nd question reminded me of this first line response, so thanks.

Did you save it to a folder outside your own user folder?

Do you have another program open which might have the document open.

Use command-Tab to determine what else may be open.
