new magic keyboard

I have just got the new magic keyboard and using it with a iPad Pro 11 2020

when i open pages or notability and start typing its ok until i hit the space bar then it shuts that page / document down. Has one one else had this problem

I have a magic keyboard for iPad. When i type in pages the space bar does not work unless i press the shift key I have a magic keyboard for iPad. When i type in pages the space bar does not work unless i press the shift key is this normal?
