Hi all


I use touchID as much as possible as it is very convenient. I use it with several applications, among them HSBC personal online banking, and it is working fine.

I want to use it also with HSBC business online banking and it doesn't work with this app. When I try to enable it, it says 'TouchID not enabled. We were unable to enable your touchID details. Please try again'.


Of course I called HSBC support but they couldn't help as, they said, the problem comes from the phone.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still the same problem.


Could anyone help me? My iphone is a brand new one, the new SE iphone.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having an issue with Touch ID not working with a particular app, and I'd like to help.


Even though you redownloaded the app again, verify that it's up to date. Update apps or use automatic downloads


Verify if that app is listed in Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Other Apps > If it's listed, it should be enabled.


After those steps, if Touch ID is working to unlock your iPhone and with other apps; not working with one app is an issue with that particular app. You'll want to contact the app developer for assistance. How to contact an app developer
