Where to download Mac OS X Lion to create a bootable USB?

I had opened another discussion that went nowhere. I am unable to use Recovery to reinstall my OS in my MacBook Pro (2012). I get the message that the components cannot be downloaded. Everything suggested has not worked. The only option is to create a bootable USB. Where can I legally download a copy of the Installer.dmg in order to create the bootable USB? Thanks.

Please bear with me folks. This is my first post. I have an iMac made in late 2011. The hard drive in it failed, so i purchased a new replacement hard drive and installed it. Thought it would be a good idea to purchase OS X Lion online from Apple so I had a valid, complete copy of the operating system. The purchase went through great....no problems. So, now i'd like to download it and create a bootable/installable USB drive. No one yet has been able to put me on track as to how i can download my purchase. Any help would be appreciated.
