has anyone been able to re-start syncing between ipad and ìhone after it mysteriously stopped? Apple Support was useless

What exactly has stopped synchronizing?
An iPad does not sync with an iPhone.
An iPhone does not sync with an iPad.
Both sync with a computer.
No- I was referring to icloud syncing photos between ipad & iphone. Both are synced to icloud. Both used to work just fine. They suddenly stopped after years of syncing just fine.
And I never synced them with a computer, ever, genius.
Question: has anyone been able to re-start syncing between ipad and ìhone after it mysteriously stopped? Apple Support was useless
