Can I get virus build in the my phone by clicking a link sent from whatapp????

my ex coworker has sent me a link THROUGH WHATSAPP she forwarded it from someone we both know. the link was about walmart giving out voucher blah blah blah..ususally i dont click such links but i dont know why this time I did and I found myself really stupid now!

so after clicking the link, it asked me three questions, no personal information, only something like 'Have you shopped in walmart' 'How old are you?' "would you recommend Walmart to people around you?'.

SO at the end of this i was told to forward a message, same message i got to 20 people on whataspp, which I did, and I was told to click continued on that website...and it never worked obviously..and I am like this might be a scam (i know im very slow at this point)...so my question is, is there anyway that my phone is compromised because I have clicked that link? Like would the virus from the link (if there is one) got build in my phone to steal all my personal information? my phone Iphone 7 Plue, is up to date, 13.4.1, it's 2 years old, i got it from apple store, never jailbreak or done anything to it to modify it's original setting, Please help...im paranoid...

You can get malware from links, but not virus. Malware can come in the form of things like calendars you didn't know you were downloading, which add entries to your calendar. But iOS cannot become infected by a virus. It's why iPhone are the safest mobile devices you own. Based on what you posted, you really shouldn't have anything to worry about. Your contacts may not be happy with you, but they'll get over it.

Yes, it is possible that your iPhone got hacked.

Jailbreaking is not required for that, but does make breaches easier.

Now did your iPhone get breached here? Likely not.

What got hacked here is you.

You got hacked.

You decided to comply.

You want to belong.

You decided to spam people.

People are easier to hack than are are our devices.
