Watch not signing into Mac mini.

"Your Apple Watch must be signed in to iCloud to allow it to unlock your Mac."

I've tried numerous suggestions but nothing seems to work. This just started after updates.

Your Apple Watch must be signed in to iCloud to allow it to unlock your Mac. I have been able to unlock my Macbook previously with my Apple Watch, but stopped being able to do so. I have restarted my mac, my phone and watch to no avail. I even unpaired and repaired the watch. Nothing. They all have wifi/bluetooth enabled, etc. MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.2.1 iPhone 11 15.3.1 Watch OS 8.4.2 Is this a bug? Anything else I can try?

Apple Watch Series 8 Doesn't Unlock Macbook Air 15" My series 8 watch (running 10.0.1) will work for awhile unlocking my Macbook Air 15" (running 13.6), but after an overnight of being asleep this feature seems to turn off automatically. When I try to turn it back on in settings, the computer says that the watch needs to be signed in to icloud. But my watch IS signed in to icloud. I've restarted both my watch and my computer to no avail. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Apple Watch will unlock one MacBook but not another I have 2 MacBook Pros. A personal one and one from work. My watch was working fine to unlock my 13" 2018 MBP but not my 16" 2021 MBP. The most recent software update, my watch disappears from the 13". I was able to add it to the 16" but he 13" give an error now: "Your Apple Watch must be signed in to iCloud to allow it to unlock your Mac" I've tried most things I can find online with keychain, etc and it's not working. Anyone encountered this?

Hello,

Are you certain that your Apple Watch and Macintosh are signed in with the same Apple ID?

Oh yeah. I finally did a reset and set it up as new. Something in the iCloud backup was wonky. I frankly thought I and initially treated the watch as a new one but obviously I was wrong. Now I just need find out why Verizon is saying I owe them and that until I'm caught up, no cellular!

New tech is wonderful until it's not!
