Contacts won’t sync on Apple Watch

My Apple Watch did an auto update last night and now my contacts won’t sync from my phone.

My messages have numbers instead of names and there are no contacts I can find on the watch.

Help?

I have restarted the phone and the watch separately and then both at the same time. Has not fixed it.
