Charging iPhone with MacBook Pro 96W Charger
Can we use 96W MacBook Pro charger to charge iPhone XR and iPad as well. I found a post from 2018 which listed upto 87W chargers, but didn't cover this specific charger.
The power adapter is rather higher output and intended for MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019+)
Additional ports from the MacBook Pro could be used to charge iPhone, etc; that may act
as buffer. ~ With the Apple USB-C adapter powering the MacBook Pro. However there may
be issues, when using the MB/Pro connected to AC, and active as a charger.
Whether (or not) the power still passes-through, when MacBook/Pro is asleep, is of interest.
I'd look into a less powerful Apple USB-C adapter ~ instead of more powerful & costly 96w one.
{..For my iPhone, I've an older 12w Apple power supply; from an iPad. Paid $2 second-hand..}
