Can I use an I watch on a 3 contract
Can you advise me on how to get round this. I really want one but not much point of no cellular.

The only way round it is if you change network provider to either EE,Vodaphone or O2.
You can make calls and send texts etc with the GPS only version of the watch,it just means that you have to have your phone with you and you don't have to change network carriers either.The GPS watch will work just fine on 3.

Yes the GPS only version will work fine,The cellular version needs a provider that supports the apple watch and 3 does not support the cellular version of the watch.
