I plan to migrate from my current iphone SE (first model) with iOS 13.4.1 to an iphone 7plus which has an earlier iOS. Should I upgrade the iOS on the 7plus before the migration? Or should I just go ahead with the transfer of data? Wonder if anyone has been in this situation and can help...
Before transfering data.
You cannot restore / transfer data from an iPhone that has iOS version more recent than the destination one.

Thank you. But should I update the new phone before or after I transfer the data from my old phone? Or will the new phone automatically be updated when I do the transfer since my current phone is on the new iOs?
It is always safe to keep both iPhones to its latest iOS which is iOS13.4.1.
