Ipad WONT TURN OFF

For some reason, without any updates, Siri appears when I hold the home button. I cannot figure a way to turn my iPad off! What the heck? I went into system preferences and turn all Siri off. (since Siri wont turn the iPad off anyway).

Question: how the heck do I turn my iPad off. After disabling Siri, I hope the home button down and nothing happens.

Im running Software 13.3 iPad 5th Generation.
