Shazam keeps requesting iTunes Login

Hey gang-


For the past week or so, anytime I launch Shazam on my iPhone XS, I am prompted to "Sign in to iTunes Store". I sign in with my Apple ID and everything works great for a few Shazam sessions, but at least once a day I get this prompt.


Note that I'm an Apple Music subscriber and if I launch Apple Music directly, I get no such prompt. Anyone else seeing this? Tried reboot of my phone, but no help.
