Trying to set up my Apple ID but it won’t let me unless I hand over my bank details. I have looked on here and a link show you can but when I try only option that works is add bank details won’t let me use mobile phone or none.

Normally, every Account needs to have a valid payment method, even for free apps or updates. You can, however, change your payment method to None. You will not be able to do this if there’s an outstanding balance in your account.
