setting up FaceTime on my MacBookPro

While setting up FaceTime and logging in with my apple ID, I receive the message: "This account has no reachable addresses. Please sign in to appleid.apple.com in order to add one."

What is a reachable address? I have an appleid. Does FaceTime require you have an iPhone to have a reachable address?

You aren't required to have a phone.

If you sign into your Apple ID using the link below, in the first section under Reachable At, you have to have other email addresses/phone numbers listed in addition to the email address you use for your Apple ID.
