Apple ID on one of my devices doesn't recognize me.

On my MacBook when I try to enter my Apple ID password (which I do know), it doesn't recognize it and the "hint" answer was definitely not set up by me. I have also received emails from people who clearly think I'm someone else. None of my privacy seems to be compromised, in that I haven't had any unauthorized charges on my bank account or anything. Seems that something got mixed up a while back. So, I am not able to sign in using my Apple ID or to even reset my password because it doesn't even recognize me. My other Apple devices do recognize me and my Apple ID password. It's just this one MacBook device that doesn't. What is going on??

Does it work if you boot into the Safe Mode?

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. What Apple ID is shown in Settings > iCloud (Apple ID on a Catalina machine)?

I'm typing this on a new laptop. My old laptop is the one that doesnt recognize me. I wanted to transfer stuff from the old one to my new one but the old one needs my Apple ID. I go into Apple ID settings and try to change my password but it wont let me because i have to enter my old password first and this is where it doesnt recognize me.

What Apple ID is shown in Settings > iCloud (Apple ID on a Catalina machine)? Where can't you sign in with your Apple ID? Did you use it signing in here? This site requires an Apple ID/Password.
