High Sierra Installer

I currently have El Capitan running on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2015) and want to upgrade to High Sierra 10.13. However, it's no longer available in the App Store, and when I try to access it from the Apple website, it directs me to the iTunes store, but I get a message there that says it's not available in the U.S. store. Where can I find the Installer for High Sierra?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've tried that link and after several attempts, I finally discovered why the final link (the one that directed me to the iTunes store) wasn't working. I decided to use Safari throughout the process, instead of Firefox which I had been using, and it sent me directly to the page I needed with the High Sierra installer. Seems Apple doesn't like Firefox handling some of it's business. Thanks again.

In order to access High Sierra in the App Store you need to be using Safari as your browser, Firefox has been giving problems recently.

Also your 2015 mac can upgrade to Mojave or the latest OS Catalina.

Before upgrading make a full back up of your Mac.

Check that third party apps you use have updates available for the new OS.

https://roaringapps.com

Check that your printers/ scanners etc have updated drivers and software available for the new OS.

Connect your mac to your router via cable rather than rely on WiFi.

Do not use your mac while it is downloading

and do not use any other devices that share the same internet connection.

If you are considering upgrading to Catalina be warned that it does not support 32bit apps.

Your Mac is probably running 32bit apps and these will need to be updated to 64bit apps,

some updates may be free, some may be paid. Use this app to discover which apps you have

are 32bit, https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/. Once the list has been created you can then

contact the developers of the apps to see if they provide 64bit updates.

Great! Yes, I did discover that Safari, instead of Firefox, was the answer. (Wish I had seen your reply beforehand.) Do really appreciate the additional information in your reply, however. I checked the compatibility of the programs that I use most often before I made the upgrade, which is why I decided on High Sierra for now. However, this other information is going to be really helpful to me in the future, so I'm going to save it for later reference. Thank you for being so thorough in your reply.
