To: headers in most of my AOL account emails screwed up in Mac Mail.app

Most of the 'To:' fields in Mac Mail.app for The AOL account are appearing like this

To: AmazonPrime.ˇ

Then when I click on the " ˇ ", it displays my correct email address. This doesn't happen with my iPhone.

Ive deleted the account and recreated it, and tried everything I can think of to get rid of it. It's just infuriating and creepy.
