"Unsupported Plug-in" in Safari
My Safari browser running Mac OS Catalina says "Unsupported Plug-in" for two videos I have inserted on my website. The videos are .m4v files. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks again. I looked and found this:
"Safari supports the plug-in for Adobe Flash Player but no longer supports other plug-ins. The Plug-ins setting appears only if you have the Adobe Flash Player installed."
Why would Apple stop supporting the Quicktime plug-in when it is one of its own products???
Can you try to play the files outside of accessing them on your website? That may indicate if it is a web site problem or a Safari problem.
Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, microg!
I understand you're seeing the alert indicating that you have an unsupported plugin. I'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.
Check to see if these plugins have any updates from the developer site. It's also possible that these plugins are no longer supported in newer versions of Safari, and you would need to remove them: How to install Safari extensions on your Mac
"How to turn off or uninstall extensions
Choose Safari > Preferences, then click Extensions.
Have a great day!
Thank you for the feedback! But I should have been more clear. The unsupported plug-in is for Quicktime in Mac OS Catalina. Safari won't play the .m4v videos on my website. And in the Safari extensions, I don't see Quicktime.
Thanks, Eric. Both Quicktime videos play on my older iMac computer and on my PC. But my new MacBook Pro (running Catalina) gives me the "Unsupported Plug-in" problem, with no placeholders or extensions.
You are welcome. I'm a user like you and don't know why Apple decided to do that.
You are welcome. See if anything here helps.
