Bootcamp is stuck trying to install Windows 10
I'm trying to install Windows 10 on my MBP (Catalina) using Bootcamp but it got stuck about 2 hours ago at "Status: Partitioning Hard Drive". What should I do?

I did stop Bootcamp Assistent after a couple off hours (and before your commented), I read that using the newest Windows iso might help, so I downloaded 1909, but I haven't tried installing it yet because there are still some remains of the failed attempt left, the grey area in the screenshot (anderes Volume = other volume) wasn't there before

Update: After rebooting everything is back to normal
I read that using a more modern iso might help, so I downloaded the student version of W10 1909 from Microsoft, the one I used earlier I (bought from my university along with the activation key) is called WA6150 would it help to try the 1909 instead of the other one?

The direct installation of a EDU ISO can be problematic. Try to install the Retail W10 1909 ISO and verify that you do not have any issues. You do not need to activate the Retail version. If the Retail version works, you can install the EDU version on top of it, and then activate it.
You can also try the W10 1909 EDU version directly, and post back, if you run into any issues.
Sorry, but I again tried something before you could answer. I basically just repeated what I had tried earlier (using the EDU ISO) and it worked. I didn’t do anything differently, so no idea what the problem.
Thanks a lot nevertheless for baring with me
If you rebooted after the failure, which ejected the disk images, it addressed one problem area.
Glad to see it working. 👍
It should take about five minutes. On a new Terminal window, run
diskutil list
and post the output.
