Photo/35mm slide scanners
Are any photo/35mm slide scanners compatible with the macOS 10.15.4?

Quite a few. Most multifunction printers have a separate single slide contact sheet slit at the side of the scanner.
They aren't as versatile as some of the old slide scanners where you just fed slides into a big box, but at least you can put a row of 5 or 6 slides down to scan at a time.
