It will not work with NTFS. The iPad will not read it. It would have to be formatted with Fat32. Also, If that is a platter disk, you may need to have a powered hub for it to work correctly. But take the time to format it to Fat32 to try it first.

What happens when you try to connect? Is this a regular hard drive with a spinning platter, or a flash style drive? Do you know what this drive is formatted as? Just turn on the drive led, I open files but the USB drive does not appear. Is a ROG Strix Arion drive with a disk M.2 NVMe samsung 1 TB inside. The format is NTFS, I hace a PC
