How to check what update was made via App Store

Hi guys, how can I check what updates I made via App store?

I received an update for my Mac Pro 2009 running El Capitan this morning. Stupidly, I skim read it and hit the Update button but now want to know what the update was. I know it was something to do with 32 and 64 bit software being compatible now (and thankfully I can now run Compressor again, which I was asking about last week).

Open the App Store go to Updates and see if there is an entry in the Updates installed in the last 30 days.

Alternatively click on the  top left of your screen, click on About This Mac,

click on System Report.

From the window that opens go to Software in the left hand panel, select Installations.

Now click twice on Install Date, the list will now be displayed with the most recent updates/ installers first.

I think it highly unlikely that Apple would have released any updates for El Capitan, be more careful in future.

Sorry.

* I received a notification on my Mac Pro (El Capitan 10.11.6) this morning stating there was one update awaiting.

* When I clicked on the message, it took me to the App Store.

* The update was for something to do with compatibility of 32 and 64 bit applications, but I can't remember the exact wording.

* I now want to go and check exactly what this update was.

How can I now go and check what update I made this morning?

I know it has something to do with applications working across certain systems and OS's as last week I was unable to use Compressor, but after this update Compressor thankfully is working fine.

Hope this helps.
