Font size

Hi. The font size on my MacPro is set to 12. I can enlarge a window to 16 and increase the image size of folders and documents but I have to do this manually everytime. 12 is too small (and with covid I can't easily get bifocals). Is there a way to set 16 for all uses on the Mac Finder?

How to increase font size in Menu Bar? Just got my new 27' iMac, with Big Sur. Copied everything over from the old iMac okay via a Time Machine backup. But! On the old machine, I had the font for the Menu bar larger and bolded for better visibility. I have searched everywhere, but I can't find a way to do the same to the new Menu Bar in Big Sur. Ideas?

Open any folder. Press Command+J. Change the point size. The important part - now click the Use as Defaults button on the bottom.

Any new folder you create after this will have those settings.
