Resetting Password

Hi,

I recently lost access to my Apple accounts, I regained access to the less important one because it happens to be in use with my phone. The more important one that isn't in use is the same one that I have lost the password to. I have gone to the "iforgot" website and went through the process several times, getting codes to my number and even talking to a representative. The website says I will be able to reset my password (or might be able to, not exactly clear language from Apple) in 13 days and the rep said this is true.

Well sorry not sorry I need access to this account before 13 days and I refuse to believe that Apple staff cannot make this happen.

I am able to prove I own the account and in the past when I've lost my password and called it in, the rep's back then (less than 2 years ago) were not only able to help but were seemingly ecstatic to help.

Thanks (maybe?),

Jesse

No, that's an automated prosess that apple support cannot speed up for you. Other than explain how it works/how you might be able to speed it up.

I question what Apple really takes in and what amount of their user base must scream to get something.

Also, on that Feedback page, unless I am blind, I do not see anything about Apple ID on it so if you are me, locked out and cannot get back in for 13 days, I guess Apple is alright with making people like me wait that long when we have more important things to tend to. I suppose if I didn't have another Apple ID I'd have to make one just to be able to use my phone and if that doesn't sound wrong to you I'm not sure what is.

I like some of Apple's products, their practices I can do without.

I would like to point some things out.

First, the recovery process tells me that Apple will get back to me "shortly" with an answer via my phone number. I've tried this verification several times over and not once has Apple given me any indication of any action other than sending me 6-digit PIN codes.

Secondly, this message tells me if I click "Verify Now" I can give Apple my phone number again and also my credit card information on the account. Apple does not at any point in this process ask me for my credit card information, I only get what you see above in "First".

This new automation is slimy.
