I need to use Apple ID and password on my iPhone XR as my work email is installed on it. The previous models allowed to unlock an iPhone in the pocket, for example, or without drawing attention. If there any option how to make it with XR? In case of emergency, for example.

There is no way. In an emergency you can press the side button 5 times quickly and it will bring up the emergency call screen, but it won’t unlock the phone.

It is quite convenient if you look at the iPhone, but would not be convenient if you are trying to unlock your iPhone while in your pocked. Touch ID would be the only thing that worked there. Your passcode wouldn't even work in that scenario.

No they did not ... unless you chose not to use a passcode.

With Touch ID you could put your finger on the HOME button and unlock the phone in your pocket.
