I have been browsing on a website for videos to watch when another web popped up before the web I was looking at. It sounded alarm and told me not to even try to close that tab. It also illustrated how my Mac was hacked by accessing a certain IP address. Do anyone have the same experience? I was confused so I can only force restart Chrome. Hope someone can tell me how to deal with this problem. There's several pages of these, and I have no idea how they got there cuz I haven't reload that page for even once.

Will those website cause my computer damage?

No. It's impossible for any remote server or site to control your computer, or even see what's on it through a web browser. It's nothing but a scam.

As far as not being able to control the page, that is also nothing but a trick, typically done with JavaScript.
