deleted minecraft but cant get it again

i just got minecraft and i couldnt see y friends online even though they were so i tried to delete it and redownload it but when i deleted it and tried to redownload it it said i have to pay again and im pretty sure once you pay for an app you can redownload it again for free since you already bought it.
