Downgrade on iCloud storage

I no longer have my iphone so I needed to cancel my monthly fee for the extra storage. I followed instructions to do so but I still see the $2.99 charge and my credit card info with a check mark. I also see where I checked next to the free option. Will I continue to be billed?

The Downgrade takes place on the next renewal date.

Once you select the free 5GB option you can continue to use the storage you already paid for until it is set to renew, at which time, it will downgrade to the 5GB option, and everything in iCloud that exceeds 5GB will be deleted.

Since you have already paid for the upgrade for this current monthly billing cycle you are still entitled to use it and can use it until the renewal date, at which point it will downgrade to 5GB and will not longer charge you.

You can take this time to download and backup anything you wish to preserve that is stored in iCloud.
