FaceTime problem with transferred phone number

I transferred my phone number to a new operator. So my SIM card has a new phone number, but my outgoing calls look to the recipient as if they came from the transferred phone number and calls made to the transferred phone number are properly routed to my iPhone. This is the expected behavior.

However, I have a problem when trying to use FaceTime to make a call through my iPhone. It looks at the SIM card and wants to make the outgoing calls using it's number. The recipients of my FaceTime calls see that I am calling from the SIM card phone number (marked A and B in the picture below), not the transferred one. There is no way to specify my transferred phone number in the You can be reached for FaceTime at fields and I can not select that number in the Start new calls from drop-down either.

I want to make the outgoing calls from the transferred phone number, but do not know if it is possible and how to do it.

Thanks for the reply. When I go to change the phone

number, I see the following section in the AppleID edit form (with some

info deleted to not publish my personal info):

There are two email addresses and two phone numbers associated with my Apple ID.

The phone number ending with 77 is my old ohone number that I transfered to a new operator. It is also the only number I want to use and be known to people I communicate with. The phone number ending with 17 is the phone number of the SIM card the new mobile operator to whom I transfered my main phone number (the 77 one) gave me. Unfortunately this form does not allow me to delete the 17 number, even if I sign off from FaceTime on all my devices (iPhone and a MB Pro). Consequently, FaceTime always uses the 17 phone number when I make calls - my FaceTime partners think the call is coming from that phone number.

Hello javorie,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that the wrong phone number is associated with FaceTime. Make sure that you have updated your correct phone number with your Apple ID by using the steps from this article to manage your Apple ID:

Manage and use your Apple ID - Apple Support

After you have updated your Apple ID information, then sign out of FaceTime and back in. The phone number should then be updated to the correct number.

Best Regards.
