Hi everyone ,

Is anyone having the same issue? I keep getting an error in my iCal with the above message. I can't seem to get it fix. I've done all the trouble shooting and nothing seems to work.

The calendar works fine in GMAIL web browser, so I feel that this is a syncing issue. No one in Apple has been able to help me, as they have advised to see assistance with GMAIL (which is pretty much a dead end, as they don't have anyone to assist unless you have a product with them). Please help.

Hey there yohanafromsydney,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re having issues using Calendar as expected. I’ll be happy to help with this.

Based off your statement, it seems like this is a syncing issue between Gmail and Calendar on your Mac. I’m not sure of the exact troubleshooting you’ve completed but if you haven’t already, you may want to see if this works in a new user account. This article can walk you through how to do this:

‘If the issue happens in the other user account:

If that doesn’t work, try another network. If you can't try another network, make sure you're not on a VPN or captive network as that may contribute to this. Another step that may help would be to remove the Gmail account completely from your Mac, restart, and add it back. See if this has any impact on the issue as well:

Hi there,

thank you for your response.

I have tried creating a new user account, which works for a while before I get the same error message.

I can create an event via iCal on my

iphone and it would flow through to the GMAIL web based calendar, however - I’m unable to view the responses from the attendees.

Whenever a cal invite is sent to my email, it doesn’t flow through my iCal on my

phone.

is there anything else you could suggest?

this is creating such a headache for my as I rely heavily on my calendar. I have tried to contact GMAIL & I’ve had no luck.

Hey yohanafromsydney,

Thanks for going through those steps. One thing I noticed is you mention iCal. This would be from an older version of macOS. If you haven’t already, you may want to update to the latest version and see if this helps at all:

If the issue is still occurring after this , you may want to reach back out to Apple Support at the following link so they can continue to look into this with you:
