Citation styles not working correctly?

I use EndNote (X9.3.3) with the endnote plugin (downloaded last week, presumably the latest). The vancouver citation style works well, and shows up correctly:

lorem ipsum dolor sit amet (29).

But when I try to change to Nature citation style, it becomes wonky:

lorem ipsum dolor sit amet 29.

Nature citation style should be in superscript. This would not be a problem if I only had a few citations, and I could do it all manually, but its a bit of a chore when there are a lot of citations.

Is there a way to fix this? I can use the terminal, if that is necessary/viable.
