I am having difficulty sourcing the universal dock adaptors for my beloved iPod Classic. Can anyone help? Many thanks.
That is "thin" model -- #9 will be the one you are looking for....
#10 is for 5th gen video (80G) and 6th gen (160G) - thick model.

I have the iPod classic 160 GB (Late 2009) A1238 MB562LL/A
It's about half an inch thick, but the specs say it is 0.41 inches (which it is if you don't include the curve of the back.
Do I need #9 or #10?

If you have the thin model - the dock adapter is #9.
If you have thick model - the dock adapter is #10.
#10 adapters are hard to find, even ebay can charge almost $50 for set of 3.
The best bet to find the adapter, in my opinion, is to buy the whole universal dock which includes various of dock adapters.
The part number for universal dock, including ipod classic adapter (both thin and thick) is -- MB 125 G/A or MB 125G/B.
