Hi everyone,
as much as I’d LOVE to be able to buy a brand new (top-spec) MBP...
it’s out of reach financially for the moment. So, that’s leaves me with second hand options.
I had an iMac a few years back and at that time I bought MS Office for Mac 2003 and photoshop CS2.
I've been given to understand that they may not be compatible with latest operating systems.
Can anybody help me?
There was never an Office 2003 for the Mac. What you have is either newer or older. Neither one will work on the latest operating system. DO NOT buy a used Mac. You will regret it. If you can’t afford a new one, Apple offers refurbished machines. Do not buy a refurbished machine anywhere else, that would just be a used machine.
Ms Office is:
The office for Mac suite (word, excel PowerPoint etc) for Mac.
It will work on Snow Leopard (that’s the operating system which was on my iMac at the time).
So, to clarify. It worked on Snow Leopard, and will likely have worked on several other later versions too.
That it what I’m asking, in the hope that somebody will be able to offer guidance.
Which versions of Apple’s operating systems WILL WORK WITH “MS Office for Mac 2003” ???
Only 64 bit versions of Microsoft Office are compatible with the latest MacOS, Catalina.

None that I know of. I don't know what MS Office for Mac 2003 is. Follow etresoft's advice. Even Microsoft no longer supports Office versions older than 2016.
