I keep getting a box requesting a "voicemail password". It appears every time I try to make a call, etc. It is very annoying. It started happening once I loaded OS 4.01 onto my iPhone 3Gs.
Any solutions?

Set your voice mail password in the voice mail settings.
If you don't recall it, then go to keypad, press and hold the number 1 to call into voice mail old school and follow prompts to set it.
Then back on phone set it to what you set it to.
I don't want a voicemail password and I was never prompted for a password on my phone until the upgrade to the new software. Also, this prompt pops up ALL THE FLIPPNG time and I'm not even trying to access my voicemail. Annoying!! It's a flaw in the upgrade.
I have same problem. Just upgraded yesterday - mistake... Did not previously HAVE a voicemail password - nor do I want to have to have one - though out of frustration I did go into settings to "change" password. To do so requires the "old" password and does not allow for old password to have been nonexistent...hope the fix for this comes out soon - voicemail effectively not a service now - if you call my phone, caller still hears my message and can leave a message - I JUST CAN'T HEAR IT!! AAAGGHHH!!!
Due to security concerns i can't tell you what the password is on this public website, but i can tell you to contact your service provider and they can help you. You can manage your password on your provider's website in many instances, and/or by calling yourself and following the prompts.
