software version.

hello everyone.

2 part question I have and was hoping for some help from people that knows about this.

I just upgraded from Mojave to Catalina 10.15.4.

1- One of my softwares works fine with 10.15.2 and .3 but not .4. so Can I downgrade just to version 10.15.3?

2- If I decide to go back to Mojave because of my software, does it erase all my hard drive and have to reinstall everything of is it just the same as going up to Catalina where all my files and application stay the same?

( no I did not have Time machine)

is there a link to Mokave if I decide to go back?

Thanks a lot.

  1. If you have a copy of that installer (or an earlier update), yes. If you don't have one, there is no place to get it.
  2. You will have to erase the drive and restore from a backup you made prior to Catalina (easiest), or extract all of your library-based raw files from the Catalina Library so you can import them into the Mojave libraries. These include Photos and Music, and could include Mail, Contacts, depending on the type of accounts. If you store any email on local (On My Mac) folders, you'll have to export them to import afterwards. If your Contacts are stored locally, export them as vCards so you can import them into Mojave. Export all of the contacts of each group together so you can rebuild the groups.

The storage structure in Catalina is different than Mojave, and Mojave has no idea what Catalina's storage structure looks like.
