I am presently using IOS Mojave and thinking of upgrading to High Sierra and want to know if Microsoft EXCEL for Mac version 16.36 is compatible?

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.14

High Sierra came before Mojave.

If you mean compatible with Catalina, then yes, it is.
