Attempting to set up new account on IMAC desktop to access my sbcglobal.net email account.
Tried under Yahoo, not working, trying using add Other Account. Verifies OK but have to set it up manually. Tried using several posted suggestions. No success so far. Suggestions

Effective June 30, 2017, all AT&T Internet Services email accounts ceased to function as Yahoo! accounts. More info here. The AT&T Internet Services and Yahoo! accounts were reassigned to BellSouth Telecommunications. I suggest you contact AT&T about this.
Yahoo accounts all have typically the same IMAP settings, whether AT&T, SBC Global, AOL, or Verizon.
The server is Yahoo based, but the email address is your login username for both incoming and outgoing mail.
