Follow the "buy" section of this guide: Add and download music from Apple Music or buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Also, note that if you are using the Music app on the newest OS for Mac (Catalina), the iTunes Store is hidden by default. You can enable it in Preferences as shown below:
