Request to speak with the iTunes Store Staff about your Apple Account Login Issues. Tell them what has been going on. They will run you through the fix.

Here is the information:

• Contact Us - Choose Locations
• USA: 1(800)MY-APPLE
• Proceed from there as Necessary

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.

I just had the same issue on my iPad pro.

Username and password were 100% correct, but it insisted one of them was wrong!!

The solution was to turn the iPad off and on again, then it worked.
